Income differences and feasibility of maize farming with different harvest times on dry land in Bali

Abstract Maize is one of staple food sources. The low productivity maize at farm level tends to change the harvest time from old for need into young commercial and feed purposes which considered more profitable by farmers. This study aimed determine income feasibility farming applying different times. was conducted in 2020 dry land Musi Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali with participatory rural appraisal (PRA) approach involving 30 Data collected included input output farming. analysis used partial budget results showed that early harvested has 2.1 times higher than optimal maturity harvested. With R/C ratio 1.74, feasible. If pattern applied continuously, it will reduce supply as reserve. Therefore, policies local government arrangement farmers are needed so interests fulfilling needs well increasing farmers’ can still be achieved.
